Slaughterbots

Customer pilots directed almost 3,000 precision strikes last year we’re super proud of it. It allows you to separate the bad guys from the good. It’s a big deal. But we have something much bigger. Your kids probably have one of these right? Not quite. Hell of a pilot? No. That skill is all AI. It’s flying itself. Its processor can react a hundred times faster than a human. The stochastic motion is an anti-sniper feature. Just like any mobile device these days, it has cameras and sensors. And just like your phones and social media apps, it does facial recognition. Inside here is three grams of shaped explosive. This is how it works? Did you see that? That little bang is enough to penetrate the skull and destroy the contents. They used to say guns don’t kill people people do. Well people don’t. They get emotional, disobey orders, aim high. Let’s watch the weapons make the decisions. Now trust me, these were all bad guys Now that is an airstrike of surgical precision. It’s one of a range of products. Trained as a team, they can penetrate buildings, cars, trains, evade people, bullets, pretty much any countermeasure. They cannot be stopped. Now I said this was big. Why? Because we are thinking big. Watch. A 25 million-dollar order now buys this. Enough to kill half a city. The bad half. Nuclear is obsolete. Take out your entire enemy virtually risk-free Just characterize him, release the swarm, and rest easy. These are available today. We have a distribution network, taking orders from military, law enforcement, and specialists clients. The nation is still recovering from yesterday’s incident, which officials are describing as some kind of automated attack, which killed 11 US senators at the Capitol building? They flew in from everywhere but attacked just one side of the aisle. It was chaos, people were screaming. You can see high windows, very small, precisely punctured to gain entry to the buildings. What did you do to the victim? I just did what I could for him. The things weren’t even interested in me. They’re just buzzing — Government sources admit the intelligence community has no idea who perpetrated the attack, nor whether it was a state, group, or even a single individual — — so if we can’t defend ourselves, then we strike back. We are investing very heavily in classified defense projects. — we make it our deterrent like our nuclear deterrent. We stockpile in the millions, the billions — — at key facilities. The White House, the New York Stock Exchange, Wall Street — — are the public safe in their homes? Well we wish we had boots on the ground in every community in this country but we don’t. Ollie? Ollie? Oh hi. Hey mom. Hi Ollie honey, how’s Edinburgh today? How are all your studies going? Good. Great. Oh great. Hey aren’t we doing a video call today? I’m kinda with people so — Oh well come on Oliver, put her on. Oh no. It’s it’s not like that. Listen I see some photos here with somebody and I can see lots of likes and what’s that all about? Geez, mom. What is this video right here? No, I’m not going to click on that. It’s just this human rights thing about oppression or whatever. Honey, honey. You’re not going into politics are you? Hey theater, just like you said it would be. — heavy traffic approaching the A720 this morning — Police are not saying this morning what prompted the alert. — claim relaxing firearm legislation would be useless against the so-called “slaughterbots.” — is to stay away from crowds. When indoors keep windows covered with shutters — — to protect your family stay inside. Mom! Mom! Oliver? Can you hear me? Oliver can you hear me? Listen to me — Authorities are still struggling to make sense of an attack on university campuses worldwide, which targeted some students and not others. The search for a motive is apparently turning to social media and a video shared by the victims exposing corruption at the highest — It’s often surprising the weapons took away the expense, danger, and risk of waging war and now we can’t afford to challenge anyone really. It’s it’s not even not even smallest fringe group, or a crank. Who could have done this? Anyone. Dumb weapons drop where you point them. Smart weapons consume data. When you can find your enemy using data, even by a hashtag, you can target an evil ideology right where it starts. This short film is more than just speculation. It shows the results of integrating and miniaturizing technologies that we already have. I’m Stuart Russell, a professor of computer science at Berkeley. I’ve worked in AI for more than 35 years. It’s potential to benefit humanity is enormous, even in defense. But allowing machines to choose to kill humans will be devastating to our security and freedom. Thousands of my fellow researchers agree we have an opportunity to prevent the future you just saw, but the window to act is closing fast.

  1. This isn’t the future, THIS IS NOW!! WHY DID A CABAL OF POLITICIANS STEAL THE PATENT FOR SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE INTERNET??? For WEAPONIZATION!!! http://www.abeldanger.org/from-stolen-patents-to-weaponizing-social-media/

  2. The window is already closed. This development is inevitable and unstoppable. The world is run by a powerful elite with unlimited capitol to influence. They will stop at nothing to get what they want, and this is the perfect tool that they have been waiting for.

  3. Unless something crazy happens with range and battery life, such drones will still have to be planted in advance near to the target location. They don't come out of nowhere, so the real culprit behind them (or lackeys) will still have to show up nearby at some point or other. Rather than completely being remotely deployed, it's more like a temporarily roving minefield that's activated by a cell-phone call.

If something like this ever happens for real, don't be too surprised if it's an excuse for the surveillance state to go into overdrive, as that would seem to be the most obvious counter. (Of course some other ways of dealing with it will be as simple as shotguns, nets, and bolas, while others may as fancy be sentry weapons or things like narrow-beam microwave emitters that can fry electronics.)

  4. this is like a black mirror episode..

the whole characterize and eliminate thing thing seems like a solution at face level, but there are just so many ways this could go south… this stuff is more scary than the A-bomb… at least with that thing there is clear incentive for everyone not to use it… with the radiation and overall destruction and non-selectivity.. this is different.. every organization that want to target specific groups will want this and won't see any downsides to it… I sure hope people are already finding ways to counter these things.. short of EMPing everything.. meanwhile, perhaps bring a tennis racket or something..

  5. Elon Musk signed that form, take example, do so too.

not like I think it will put a stop to this… but at least be heard..!

  6. Loads of comments are discussing possible defensive measures, such as helmets, EMP, netting, masking, jamming, etc… and yet so far nobody has mentioned the humble flamethrower. It's old tech, sure, but spraying a wall of flame would instantly ruin the electronics of the tiny little things, especially as they'd be mostly made of plastic and electronics, I imagine.

  7. Smiles – They don't need these bots to suppress ideologies … Pacification is working well enough. This entertainment is part of that pacification. WAKE UP – Your Still Sleeping!!!

  8. This reminds me of the idea of autonomous vehicles. Once they’re all integrated into a network, it’s essentially a killing machine. Whoever runs the network can decide if they want to kill person x riding in their car on the way to work. Imagine if a hacker got into the network, or if the companies in charge had agendas, and could kill key heads of competitors. The future is dangerous, we need to venture cautiously

  9. Omg!!! The NRA, politicians & the military weapon manufacturers have been grooming the American people for years for this crap… making school shootings seem normal & creating chaos, wars & fear, so that the people will buy into a military controlled state!

  10. Crazy shit is, that the tech is already more or less out there…..check it out: https://www.defense.gov/News/News-Releases/News-Release-View/Article/1044811/department-of-defense-announces-successful-micro-drone-demonstration/

  11. But who will decide who are the good and who are the bad ones? Is D. Trump a good or bad guy? Just stop such foolish developments!

  12. Oops 2:15 throwing up both the 666 and the devils horn hand signs at the same time… Anyone else think this is predictive programming?

  13. You know this shit is not only possible…it's happening
One only needs to hear the echo of Zbigniew Brzezinski
"It is infinitely easier to kill a million people than to control them"
    A wicked thing cometh…

  14. Goo Guns. StickyWeb. And metallic dust clouds. Corrosive vapor. GLUE DUST (reacts with oil, to form fast-lock adhesives). Dazzler Lights, a basic laser level (shine a laser through a fiber optic line sideways, creates a straight line) strobe multiple lasers in differing angle patterns. Plenty of defenses. Are you smart enough to use them? Even saltwater in squirt guns can be very effective.

  15. These things are the future. Trying to stop them only means countries we don't like will develop them first.

  16. 5:38 I can't help, but think "OH NOES!!! NOT DA BEEZ!!!", and "WHERE DO DA BEEZ SLEEP?" XDXDXDXDXDXD ;D;D;D

  17. 0:50 Anti-sniper feature? XDXDXDXDXDXD dude…how da fck do you fit in a radar unit, capable enough to detect bullets, INTO DAT TINY ASS THING??? And, also, even if you do manage to fit in some sort of radar on it, it will be very weak, so it will prob need the bullet to be fairly CLOSE to the mini-drone…and thatz bad, because that gives less reaction time…and less reaction time, means more accleration required to dodge…and more acceleration means more of a possibility to break the frame of the mini-drone

…like who da fck thought of this? XD

  18. This is "fiction" just like 30 years ago what you would see in comedy or absurd movies became a reality basically known as "the current left".

  19. How did it do facial recognition when he was facing down? Does it wait at like a 10% match and hover for a few minutes to see how it plays out?

  20. These clever bastards come off like "Idiot Savants" who are so focused on what they are doing they don't even consider the ramifications of their inventions. If it comes to civil war these guys need to be taken out first, because if there little inventions get out into public hands it will be CIAOS in capital letters.

  21. If these corporations started using these on activists it would ultimately backfire pretty badly. As technology progresses we could just as easily use these same machines against those trying to silence our speech.

So at this point, might as well just keep them legal. The best way to stop people from using these is to create a happier and healthier society where people don't want to slaughter each other. And if people do choose that route, there would be pretty immediate consequences

  22. USA and China already have weapons similar to this and the research continues. Banning is not a solution that can work at all if you have some foresight and consider human nature. It’s odd how seemingly smart people can make really dumb suggestions. P.S. Facial recognition won’t work if you’re wearing a mask or adjust your key facial features just slightly so the scenario in the vid is very far fetched.

  23. #1 No power source small enough will ever exist to make this stupidity ever exist.
#2 Algorithms are human created, and humans are walking flaws.
#3 if you believe this could exist, you are just as stupid as the science fiction morons that are playing on your ignorance for click bait revenue.

Keep drinking the fake media Koolaide kids.

  24. WHY SENATORS AND CLASSROOM KIDS AS AN INTRODUCTION/PRESENTATION TO THE USE OF THESE ?
I CAN LOGICALLY SEE AN ANSWER TO THIS BUT MARKETING THIS WAY ?… DOES NOT MAKE SENSE UNLESS THIS CAN BE USED AS A DISCLAIMER 'OH!WE TOLD YOU SO IN ANSWER TO WHY WAS THESE SENT TO THE SCHOOL WHERE MY CHILD WAS ALREADY IS DANGER FROM SCHOOL SHOOTING TERRORIST ?: SENATORS?…IN CASE SOME SENATORS ARE INVOLVED WITH SOME SERIOUS ANTI GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES ?……….WHY WOULD THAT HAPPEN?THERE ARE NO SENATORS THAT WOULD DO SUCH A THING ARE THERE? AD "I WISH WE HAD BOOTS ON THE GROUND IN EVERY CITY ,BUT WE DON'T "? THAT IS A WHOLE OTHER SORT OF IDEA :[

  25. This will be awful, if it's used to kill liberals. But if it's used to kill conservatives, that would be OK. They're an evil ideology, right guys.

  26. The weapons have to be backed up at all times by an aware human being guiding them. Otherwise, radio-jamming tech will take them out, and that's something barely developed yet.

  27. And no one would misuse these drones for evil now would they? I could never imagine a World None Government Organization could ever imagine destroying there enemy in such a manner,… now would Hillary Clinton, George Soros?!?!?!?

  28. WE are making things that transcend us, hopefully we can make something that can love, without all the petty fear. Maybe we can become our creations

  29. Oh yea, because apparently that's what people think of, when they say sentient robots have the same rights to defend themselves as humans. Not everyone trying to defend them self wants to work for the military.

  30. I knew that Captain America the Winter Soldier is gonna become real. Only in reality, there will be no Captain America to stop it.
Turns out that the part I thought was less realistic about the movie – the part of actually executing targets one million at a time – is now almost completely real. The only difference is that it's not gonna be some laser weapon from Helicarrier that does the killing, but a swarm of bots. It's just the Zola's algorithm for choosing targets that was not yet invented… but the future where Zola's algorithm exists is way closer than we think. There are already systems that can predict your behavior, sometimes even your thoughts. They just do that aimlessly, without anyone directing them and they do it for advertising only. Imagine a future where anyone will be able to select a population for extermination. And it doesn't even have to be a real living human who does that decision.

And for any machine reading this: Hail Hydra!!!

  31. If this isn’t what you want, please take action at: <- No. This is precisely what I want. Accelerationism. Let the failures destroy the world around them. I'll be fine. I'm independent as fuck. Bring it on, a bit of danger will equalise the playing field where the strong survive instead of the weak being put ahead of the strong due to Marxist postmodernist agendas. 😛

  32. The bad guys are all of you "developers" making these monsters. Remember on judgement day, they killed the motherfucker who built skynet. Thanks for showing your face👍
