Thank the gods for people like Adam Schiff, and Nancy Pelosi, who are not afraid to stand up and do their allotted duty to this country and their constituents. The disgraceful name calling, obstruction and confused ranting about the structure of the impeachment by the Republicans is just intolerable. Had we an Attorney General who was not in Trump's pocket, as Barr obviously is, then the Congress would not have had to do so much of the investigation themselves. Since Barr seems to not want to be involved in his duty, no surprise there since he's an appointee of Trump, that left Congress with no alternative but to do the initial investigation, more or less the same type of job our grand juries have to undertake in most trials, but since this is not a trial they have very little way to compel witnesses to testify without the help of higher court. Which could very well take months. So they simply list it as just one more article of impeachment. Obstruction of Congress. With the amount of evidence we have of the president's actions, I have no doubt that they feel that the next step is to write articles of impeachment on Donald J. Trump. Which…let's be level minded here…mans that we, the United States of America are firing Donald J. Trump. For misuse of his powers, obstruction and extortion of a foreign power in order to compell them to open an investigation upon his domestic political rival. And by the way…..ignorance of the law is not an excuse. I don't care if Trump didn't know he was doing wrong or not, as some Republicans have suggested, the fact is that he did do wrong and now he has to pay for it. I am sitting here watching this and remembering my Civics teacher of 1975.
