Hong Kong protesters storm government building | Understanding Hong Kong

This is the floor of the
legislative council, where hundreds maybe
thousands of protesters broke in and occupied the heart
of the lawmaking establishment here in Hong Kong – one of the
world’s top financial symbols. Behind me you can see the
emblem, the Bauhinia flower emblem of Hong Kong – which
has been totally defaced. And all throughout
this building, we’ve been up to the top floor
and all the way through it, protesters rampaged through. They’ve damaged the building. They’ve ripped down posters. They smashed things. And on many of the
walls, they’ve written, they’ve stencilled the
slogan: Carrie Lam step down.

  1. This is an ideal opportunity for the Democrats, and Jeremy Corbyn, to visit Hong Kong and explain to the young protesters that Socialism is not to be feared, and they should embrace their socialist futures.

  2. BREAKING NEWS: The police had planned the break-in to LegCo hours in advance to the actual break-in. The evidence was found as the police announcement on HK telly, it showed that the wristwatch of the announcer was reading 5pm whilst announcing in the video that the break-in was around 9pm. This explains why the police provocateurs were undercover and breaking the glass panel of LegCo around 9pm, they were running out of time! The pre-recorded announcement was made 4 hours prior as they planted their agents into the peaceful protests. Shameful!

  4. Lol. What happens when yellow Chinaman powered by self righteousness derived from cliches and slogans find their soft target. Little difference from rioting Red Guards of Mao, despite differences in time, place, apparent political colour, and background. And eventually these guys would become fake asylum seekers and loud mouthed social leeches in europe…what a nice self Selection Problem europe faces.

  5. They had the same argument whether to call it a protest or a riot in Tiananmen, 1989. how was it not a riot when they were killing PLA soldiers and setting their bodies on fire. can you BURN the U.S. police when you are in a peaceful “protest” in America ?I hate to say this but the government made the right decision to shoot the mobs in 1989. Otherwise China would have been in total chaos, just like HK today.

  6. nobody talks about the one million people killed in middle east in the wars started by U.S. and U.K. But everyone condemns China for killing 200 mobs 30 years ago in Tiananmen. Western media is brilliant at selective reporting and brainwashing.
