there's a brand new podcast it's called newts world you can get an Apple podcast or wherever you get your podcast there walking back here I know you were listening to the part of scale last night well what did you sense about how confident he seemed to be we've had our operation of what they're trying to do okay I've worked with Brad sense to the convention in 2016 he's that confident because he is building a machine working very very closely with Lorna MacDonald over the Republican National Committee he's very close to the president you have a president who spends irony a trying to make sure he wins but a deep down any president was pretty confident the way it's over he's going to be reelected and this and that makes par Co the right campaign manager because he's pretty sure when it's over comes telling you a reluctant so they're pretty good team that doesn't mean that there's sloppy it doesn't mean they're overconfident this is all predicated on just tremendous amounts of hard working two things look at the amount of money partial so praise and then look at the size of every one of these rallies I mean finals you see out there is a permanent campaign of twenty thirty forty thousand people at a time many of them didn't vote for Trump a 44 percent of people passed so rally were Latinos and so there's a lot of stuff going on out there and the other side is they look at the debates the other night and they think these people that are so far to the left they don't leave a gap about 25 miles wide between their views of the American people and I think all this is coming together in a way there's a little reminiscent of 1972 and 1984 when the two Republican income is one massive reelection so I think our show is probably right Koopas is the baby laughs right now for the president speaker no one look if the economy stays good and the president says he's focused he's not a wimp now he might win by different coalition's he'd probably have a marginally harder time in some ways with Biden or margin harder time with a couple of hours away I think today buying my 11 on Sanders and he got acquitted be a poll from yesterday we're buying zone we got two on Connell Harris so we'll see which way that goes I know you've been following from a farm what's happening on the southwestern border and I and the trip that some Democrats the house made this week here is Rush Limbaugh stag on what he has served from some of their reactions looks like she once again tried to pull off a hoax screaming at federal officials during toilet water it looks like a stunt she has looked particularly ridiculous this past week and he's trying to create a situation to make herself look good make the federal employees look bad and if somebody needs to call her on it DOJ needs to the caller on an iced Border Patrol need to call her on it so then the argument comes back to why you vote against the border from last week you have with AOC somebody just what a newsletter for Fox News about this today I wanted to surprise me is that she is viciously dishonest and by viciously I mean she votes there are 99 Democrats who voted against humanitarian aid stay then go to the border to look at the disaster the Congress is paid remember every major problem dealing with asylum dealing the people coming over doing people will be attracted to come to the u.s. from Guatemala or El Salvador Honduras because they've been told hey the Americans are supid if you get there you gonna get in here taken care of so you now have over a hundred thousand people a month coming and you just had the former derivative of Secretary of Homeland Security jeh Johnson for Barack Obama said if we want to open up waters you could multiply that to a million a month now so people I gave see create the disaster refused to fix it vote against funding to help people and then go down there to attack the people who who are saying to her we don't have enough money we don't have enough facilities but water doesn't work why do you go back and fix it and I understand her attitude and her approaches but I use these words literally she was a viciously dishonest person you have a man and his daughter dying in the river because the Democrats in Congress refused to fix the law refused to control the water refused to pass humanitarian aid is truly despicable to watch people like this operate and I think she should be she nor any people should say this is not tolerable that's not the kind of person that the news media Franco to be covering because she's so dishonest well we could speaker and the fact that we're up against the holiday tomorrow the 4th of July and it's Independence Day the president plans a big celebration in Washington meanwhile Nike pulling shoes from his shelves because it's got the best Ross flag on it final thoughts from he loves parts of American corporate culture could have now sold out are so intimidated they do truly dumb things whether Nike did it was truly dumb and a little sad the idea that they are somehow embarrassed to have their original American flag coming out on the week of July 4th give me a break I think people in IQ should be ashamed I think the Nike stockholders I would be demanding that they change their position thank you sir speaker see how it goes tomorrow night I've been after them all thank you sir well the estranged husband of a missing Connecticut woman speaking out in his first sit-down interview Fotis doulos saying he is worried about his ex while insisting on his innocence David Lee Miller has following all this from New York for us this morning David Lee Sandra photos to Llosa's first interview since his wife Jennifer disappeared did little to explained what might have happened to the mother of five who vanished back on May 24th photos tulo spoke with a reporter for New York's WNBC who said photos to Llosa's attorneys would not let him speak about the specifics of the case Doulos who has been charged with evidence tampering and hindering prosecution says he knows more than he can say quote I know what I have done and I know what I haven't done so I have to stand and fight and hope that the truth is going to come out Doulos acknowledged in that interview that many people believe he is guilty of having something to do with his wife disappearance and asked them to withhold judgment quoting again I think they should wait so statistically when something like this happens 90 or 95 percent it's the spouse so I can understand why people feel like this I am in the five or ten percent category photos do Llosa and his girlfriend face charges in connection with allegedly discarding items containing Jennifer's blood he says it is quoting ludicrous that people believe he wanted to harm his wife and when asked if he had a message for her family he responded with this quote I send my prayers I had my differences with Jennifer like many people do when they go through a marriage it didn't work out for us but that doesn't mean I wish her ill in any way doulas refused to say what he thinks happened to Jennifer he said they were occasionally speaking on the phone and that he had contact with her when dropping off the kids two days before she disappeared he said they had dinner and in a statement to Fox News dulo said quoting I understand the public's perception of me as a monster given the little they know about the case but I trust the system and the process and asked the public to do the same do Lowe's remains free on half a million dollars bail Senator Bing in hell – and this is the liberal establishment this is what I'm finding so we're looking at it very serious that we may intercede we may do something to get that whole thing cleaned up so there that is overall though I think people can't figure out where to put the blame because you have to newsom that actually said it the state of California can't solve this it's up to cities and counties working together as well as the state in the federal government so who's responsible Tangled regardless it's a problem and we know we need to address aleut Lee meanwhile some economic numbers out this morning ADP jobs there's the big jobs report from Friday right very sneaky because it's gonna happen after the holiday but nonetheless a big number this morning's number would indicate that the estimates are not were they really market rally why we see a new record very good point so you have a situation where ADP numbers they focus on the private sector 102 thousand jobs for the month of June which would be sounds great but it's lower than expected and that's usually a preview of what we're expecting on Friday which looks at not only private but public sector non-farm payrolls overall though look at those markets this could potentially be a massive day for the Dow could hit a record high yes it is right now right now yes volatility is still a big player today because traders are off we know everybody's you know vacation mode and volume is down so there could be some movement but there's still some optimism when it comes to the the trade situation people are buying in too which i think is a big deal at this moment given the volatility so it's a good day for you know daily trading and then Friday we'll see someone's always looking for something negative apparently someone has found something in the housing market that may not look so good I feel like a debbie downer onset today right let's focus the Federal Reserve economists from the st. Louis Fed he put out a study saying that there's several metrics right now showing that potentially the housing markets showing signs of where we saw where a potential recession could be coming within the next year possibly as early as the end of 2019 or early 2020 he's looking at single-family homes looking at the numbers for May which we saw as a huge drop in May compared to last year almost 8% down the median price of a home a single-family dwelling is about three hundred eight thousand dollars and in his mind if you look at this past year versus the previous three years starting this show a trend that we might be headed towards a downturn and he's just solely looking at the housing department there's another report and we have this on Fox Business comm focusing on the salt deduction so state and local taxes the cap the ten thousand dollar cap could also be hurting the market as well so you've got these two factors that are potentially a pull on Wall Street though you see always of course I think well eventually somebody's gonna be right all right Christina part Somerville let's have a great holiday yes way to pull it off yeah well Facebook's making news on health but this is look we've we've all been there we've all had the headache the muscle ache the back ache when you google it and you find out it's like the worst case scenario for what you find on the internet don't do that let medical people give you medical advice Facebook is cracking down on what are basically snake oil ads see these ads that promise you know drink this drink and you're going to wake up tomorrow morning and have lost 50 pounds or this is going to cure your migraines there's all kinds of garbage out there it's it's a it's yet another tough thing that Facebook has to deal with because people are buying the ads and people are clicking on the ads and likely buying products based on it but as we've seen over the past couple of weeks and months a lot of these even some of the celebrity-endorsed stuff is bogus and like the skinny T stuff right the skinny T which turns into which was like it turned out it was like baking soda and water which again again I go back to my original point there if you want medical advice try to get it from someone who averaged these these big tech companies they're moving into the health sector in a significant way I'll see a lot of money to be made there Apple has moved into it almost in time not almost entirely but they've moved into it a lot with a you know the it's not just a fitness tracker the Apple watch anymore it's cute give you an ECG and it they want to check your diabetes through the watch there's all kinds of money to be made in legitimate healthcare in terms of technology but there's as there always is there's always that backdoor to the guy who says hey you drink a little of this tonic and you're gonna feel him they want turning up the pressure on Europe to offer some sort of way around the US sanctions since President Trump pulled out of the New Deal about a year ago the president tweeting this Iran was violating the one hundred fifty billion dollar plus 1.8 billion dollar encash nuclear deal with the US and others who pay nothing long before I became president and they have now breached their stockpile limit not good training's does live in jerusalem for us this morning hey Chad Sandra the Iranians are continuing to make threats to break more terms of the 2015 nuclear agreement giving Europe just four days to come up with solutions for Iran's economic problems speaking today in tank Ron Iranian president Hassan rouhani said that his country will break the 3.67 percent uranium enrichment threshold laid out in the nuclear could be they provided no evidence though to support that claim amid increased tension between the United States and Iran and the u.s. pulling out of the nuclear deal last year before reimposing sanctions on the Islamic Republic the u.s. is maintaining a Carrier Strike Group in the Gulf and a number of fighter jets at US bases across the Middle East now there isn't understanding in the region that if a conflict were to break out it would be a multi-front war this led the Israeli Foreign Minister overnight to say that Israel is also preparing for the possibility of a conflict Sandra training stand Jerusalem thank you the race for the White House Democrats flocking to Iowa for the 4th of July holiday as more polls show that Senator Kamala Harris is gaining ground on the frontrunners Peter dose is live in Des Moines Iowa with more from there Peter bill these Democratic candidates could go anywhere to celebrate the 4th of July but many are coming here to Iowa for parades tomorrow and they are not big fans of the big parade planned for Washington DC at the same time with the flyovers and the military vehicles and the tanks we don't need to shout to be heard we don't need a roll tanks down the streets for the rest of the world to know our strengths and our might I don't know that these kind of displays are necessary they're certainly very expensive O'Rourke is trying to recapture the buzz that had him on magazine covers and near the top of the polls and so is Bernie Sanders the Des Moines Register counted 846 people in his iowa event last night that is a big crowd and that is where the Democratic Socialist Senator projected confidence despite poor polls because his campaign believes they are among the only ones raising a lot of money from donors who haven't maxed out for the cycle and that means Sanders supporters can't keep giving if they want to in the last three months we received 1 million individual contributions 99 percent of them were for $100 or less the single largest employer who received that we received donations from what that's right Walmart mayor Pete also coming to Iowa later today for a policy announcement he's rolling out a new call to service his goal is to sign up 1 million national service members by 2026 creating new initiatives including a climate core and today Iowa caucus-goers really had their pick of which candidate they want to see if somebody doesn't want to see mayor Pete orb 800 or Bernie they could don't see Tim Ryan or Jill Biden or Pamela Harris bill gang's all there thank you Peter Peter Doocy live in Des Moines for more on all this let's bring in Katie Pavlich political editor at townhall.com and a fox news contributor Katie good morning to you thank you for being here ahead of the holiday and you know and in talk about what we have seen so far that those debates last week really changed things for Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren just throw up the latest polling Quinnipiac Biden still still the front-runner polling 22% in that latest poll Kamala Harris however in Elizabeth Warren have made a surge beyond Bernie Sanders Kamala Harris pulling 20% there Katie this been the move that these female candidates really needed oh I don't think they necessarily needed it because they are female candidates but they certainly needed it to get over the name ID hump that that Joe Biden has been able to galvanize going into the beginning of this primary process Joe Biden is very well known who was the former vice president he's been rumored to run for president for more than a year Kamala Harris has been on the national stage for a little bit a while but not as long as Joe Biden obviously and she came out and really tried to punch a hole in this inevitability argument the Joe Biden is the only person on that stage who can beat Donald Trump when it comes to policy Elizabeth Warren has a better track record of defending some of the things that she's put on the table whereas Kamala Harris has had a little bit of a hard time defending you know healthcare for example and flip-flopping on that issue but when it comes to them moving in the polls at 538 has some really interesting data out today showing that the Biden voters who are supporters who left him for another candidate one in ten went to Kamala Harris so after that exchange that they had on the debate stage they not only just switched their opinion but they switched their their support from Biden to Harris so she certainly stepped onto the national stage introduced herself and more people know who she is and they are debunking this idea that Biden is the only one who could stand up to Donald Trump in a general election it's interesting I referenced that surge by female candidates just identified I was talking about Camille Harris in Elizabeth Warren Katie but some are making the point that they're being referenced as just that women candidates the New York Times is pointing is pointing that out here's the headline it's a question no one says they want to ask what the women running for president keep hearing it in that piece that's written the women running for president are not seen as just being themselves or just candidates they are women candidates that can be infuriating to prominent female Democrats who argue that their party is adopting a retrograde narrative based in little more than post-traumatic stress from the last presidential campaign is that the case they're just being seen as women candidates in this race well look I think that Democrats have to be very careful about playing the women car they did that in 2016 with Hillary Clinton and made the argument that it was her time simply because she was a woman and that she didn't necessarily need to put in the work in the states that she needed to win where's Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren I think would want to be judged on the fact that they have different policy ideas and that they can beat Donald Trump which is what the majority of Democratic primary but primary voters say they don't wanna be judged on their gender they'd like to be judged on their ideas and their ability to beat the President on the merits now when it comes to a general election they're gonna have a very hard time doing that based on the fact that they both support eliminating private insurance which 80% of the country is against and they both support covering health insurance for illegal aliens and 60% of the countries against that and so when it comes down to policy they'll have to duke it out with the male president in the white house based on merit and ideas and policy positions not on gender I mean in the case of Comley Harris you haven't seen her play as the CNN piece also points out the women card as much like Hillary Clinton did but she does focus on such issues like income inequality economic inequality in this country here's the latest ABC polls because well we have to go off the polls that's what we have to look at this early on here's the latest ABC polling on the candidates Biden still front-runner there 29% polling even higher Bernie Sanders how maintains his second place position they're pulling 23% in that latest poll and you'll see kabbala Harris and Elizabeth Warren much further down so depending on who you ask and how it's asked I'm sure but the Real Clear Politics average right now is Joe Biden 28% and Bernie Sanders 16% Harris closely behind at 15% when you look at President Trump in his campaign women is certainly an issue there and even the campaign has issued they need to do more to target women and win over those female voters or maintain the ones that did vote for president Trump years ago well you know that ABC News poll was very interesting because when they asked independent leaning Democrats the majority of them said that Joe Biden was their number one choice and their second choice and that poll actually somewhat put the brakes on this idea that Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris have a ton of momentum after the first debate now that being said if you look at the policy positions that people are focusing on and you look at the polling nationally that's not what really matters there's a reason why Democrats are in Iowa for the 4th of July holiday they know this is a state-by-state race not a national race they know they have to get on the ground and speak with voters and shake their hands and ask them for their vote they can't just rely on people who are going to watch the debates a lot of people who cast votes don't necessarily tune in to those debates especially this early on so there's a lot of room for momentum and movement Elizabeth Warren I think did do better than Bernie Sanders did in the last two debates that we had but we'll see what happens moving forward in terms of them answering some of the tough questions about what their policies will do to people in states like Iowa and New Hampshire and all the early states like South Carolina for example create analysis Katie it is early on and there are many in that race very much all right Katie have a great weekend thank you thanks Sandra Tim minutes past the hour now Nike facing new backlash for pulling these sneakers featuring the Betsy Ross flag after this overcrowding at detention facilities in South Texas that require immediate attention with photos as seen here showing many of the migrants packed into standing-room-only cells while others are seen sleeping on the floors in very tight quarters joining us now chief Aaron hall chief border patrol agent in El Paso chief Hall appreciate your time this morning sir I know you want to clear up the situation what is buddy being put out there by so many sources so many different lawmakers and those that visit the border what do you want to tell us this morning sir well the allegations are not accurate it is true that we have more aliens in custody than we were designed to hold but our ins facilities are inspected constantly by DHS and CBP oversight entities for example the Klint station which has made the news recently just in the last six months between DHS and CBP oversight entities it was inspected January February March April June and again yesterday the inspection yesterday was by the CBP chief accountability officer under the Flores settlement it's not a secret how we're carrying four people and we've said time and time again that we are maintaining with the law with the court requirements who are their own agency policies however our challenge is that we have so many people that were apprehending for which we were not designed to hold those people and that our time in custody remains longer because we can't hand them over to ice and Health and Human Services because they have their own resource constraints and the aliens tend to build up in our custody that's really what this is about I know that you're responding directly to some of the criticisms that you just heard there from Chairman adler but also comments like this congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio Cortez who did make a visit down to the border she said this they put them in room with no running water and these women were being told by CBP officers to drink out of the toilet they were drinking water out of the toilet how would you like to respond to her this morning absolutely not the aliens in our custody have access there is a drinking fountain in the cell there are five gallon jugs outside the cells we've got bottled water in that particular case the fountain itself was turned off but that was an adult female cell all of the adult females in that cell were aware of the fact and they even gestured toward the five gallon jugs outside as well as the fact that we have bottled water outside we're not keeping people in inhumane conditions as I said we are inspected constantly for the care and custody we provide we've said we've told everyone time and time again we were not designed for this we've got people and more people than we can accommodate but that being said we are ensuring that their health and safety needs are being met it is unfortunate that they're overcrowded but this is not a secret chief hole here's a tweet from Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy and the conditions that she says exists at these migrant facilities spent the morning in Texas at Clinton El Paso detention facilities big takeaways one CVP was very resistant to congressional oversight they tried to restrict what we saw take our phones block photos and video atmosphere was contentious and uncooperative chief want to give you the opportunity to respond to that as well absolutely the the Clint facility since 2014 has been the El Paso sector hub for unaccompanied alien children by law unaccompanied alien children are minors they cannot grant consent to be interviewed they cannot grant consent to be photographed they are represented as a group by the Flores Council attorneys we have to protect them not only from outsiders and people who wish to do them harm but even from visitors who may wish to speak to them or photograph them we cannot grant that consent for them and the aliens cannot that these children cannot grant their own consent we are required to protect them from visitors this was explained very clearly throughout the visit based on your record of what is actually happening there chief why would you suggest there's so much misinformation out there and spreading well I can't I can't speak for others all I can say is that the u.s. Border Patrol CBP DHS we take this issue very seriously you've seen the statements made by the secretary by the Commissioner by Chief Provost the care and custody these statements that we've made our treatment of aliens is very important to us we have said time and time again that we do not have enough agents and enough resources to do the mission that we're having to do between the ports of entry but the individual men and women of the u.s. Border Patrol are committed to providing the best care in custody they can I can't speak for the motive behind the allegations all I can tell you is the truth because we live it and we work it every day and we are inspected constantly if I only have a few seconds left but that the House passed that 4.6 billion dollar emergency spending bill last week the president then signed it when it showed up at his desk a lot of people say this is a short-term fix for a much bigger problem Washington published this morning before the spending bill is still not enough what do you need to be able to do your job the best that you can possibly do it well as you can see from the number of aliens that we've got it is a resource intensive endeavor we appreciate the additional funding we can definitely use it we've still got to address the factors that are bringing them to the United States because until we address why the flow continues we're going to have to keep spending more and more money to address the symptoms is all this you know especially you coming on here and trying to clear the record for what you have characterizes misinformation out there is it getting in the way of your ability to carry out your daily duties and your job sir my only concern is the impact in the delight in which it portrays the men and women in the u.s. Border Patrol they go above and beyond every day every night to enforce the law and do it professionally and do it humanely the individual care that our agents have to provide we have agents having to change diapers having to teach children how to brush their teeth because they've never brushed their teeth before the things that our agents are being asked to do are freely doing on their own are really impressive even heartbreaking and then to have their actions characterized in this manner is truly a disservice to them it was 94 years old we remember the Iacocca a great inventor a great businessman a great leader a legend right happen in American business at a time in the early eighties when they were really on their knee he brought it back Lee Iacocca well done 25 past the hour now here is a mystery ready the Vatican announcing it will open up two tombs in a centuries-old cemetery to try and solve the case of a missing teenager her name is 15 year old Emanuela Orlandi the daughter of a Vatican employee who went missing in 1983 there was apparently a new tip that may shed light into what happened maybe Kellogg watching this story she's live in Milan Italy with more Amy hi Bill well the family's lawyer received an anonymous letter and a photo bill and instructions to look where the angel is pointing and as a result of that tip-off the Vatican is finally opening an investigation into this 36 year old mystery and opening as you mentioned those two tombs where the angel is pointing in the teutonic Cemetery in the Vatican now Emanuela Orlandi disappeared after a music lesson in Rome when she was just 15 years old she was a resident of Vatican City at the time but as she disappeared in Rome and not within Vatican walls Italian authorities have been handling the case until now as conspiracy theories have swirled that her disappearance was linked to a mobster whose grave was opened in 2012 to search for clues none were found that her disappearance had something to do with Vatican finances as her father was an employee of the Vatican Bank or that she was kidnapped in order to gain release of a prisoner charged with an attack on pope john paul ii a
